(English:) Anonymous graffiti artists used paint to turn a train door into a window, and a train window into a double door, including the rubber doorjambs and touch buttons. the whole thing was so realistic, the conductor had to put "door not in use" signs on the window so people wouldn't try to walk through it.

Ana Rumiha Rehab

Thumbs up for every one that had been through a serious injury but never gave up.

Ana Rumiha is one of the most stylish lady jibbers in Europe. Last year, a knee injury slowed her down but on the slow road back she enjoyed the scenery and the process of recovery. Check the video out and some words from her explaining the physical and mental game known as rehab. We are looking forward to more Croatian crushing from her this season!
I got hurt shooting in Iceland on a big parking lot gap after saying, "This probably was not going to be the best idea". The full recovery period was more then a year since I ripped almost everything there was in the knee. Once you get hurt it sucks, but my self-pity period always lasts only for few hours and then I think of 100 other things I'll be able to do while not snowboarding. This time I started to play a guitar, learning spanish and finished my college. It's all about your inner mind battle whether you are going to enjoy every day or not. While recovering I did alot of different sports because every few weeks there was another one I physically could was able do so it was different, fun and kept my mind fresh. You can get pretty tired after 6 months of doing the same training. I snowboarded in my head everyday anyway so coming back on snow was just adding the real movement to it. The brain doesn't know the difference anyway and I was even less afraid than before. Mental preparation is everything and all the physical work is coming out of it. Being a happy and a peaceful person will keep you healthy and strong. Snowboarding is not a competition for me, so there's nothing to catch up with. I'm just glad I can have fun again and push the sport in directions I think are good. I'm lucky to have had amazing people behind me who helped me do this the fun way. One of my best friends, Marin Golemac, put the NBA Spurs, which he works with, on hold to stay in Croatia and help me out. Thanks for that. My winter plans are to have awesome times traveling and filming with my Lipstick girls and Nitro Warriors. Just staying above the clouds and not wasting any days, I don't like fog.

Tancrède, Julien, Seb and Antoine are pioneers in ‘highlining’ - a vertiginous combination of climbing, slackline and tightrope walking. We travelled from our home in Chamonix to our training ground in the Verdon gorge, testing the limits for our ultimate goal... We rigged highlines on the skyscrapers of Paris, and finally came to the spectacular cliffs and fjords of Norway. 'Moving Forward" is a movie about Danny Toumarkine, a snowboarder from California. On jan 03 2011 Danny suffered a thaumatic head injury while riding up in Montana on a filming trip. Danny underwent four brain surgeries and he is very lucky to be alive.

“Long before DEATHBOWL TO DOWNTOWN there was another documentary about skating in New York City called Apple Juice. I don’t want to sound like a sentimental fag or anything, but this video is about as special as they come in Skate History Land. It captures the day to day life of skating in New York at a time when the oldest skateboarders in the city were about 20.

Apple Juice was made by the dudes at the legendary Skate NYC shop in 1990. It was thought to be lost forever until recently, when it was unearthed from a dusty storage space somewhere in the city. Now it’s online for skate dweebs and old men to freak out over for generations to come.”

Coming on the heels of all the ART IN THE STREETS hullaballoo that’s leaving everyone (me, at least) scratching they’re heads and thinking what the hell is going on? is the discovery of this long-lost gem – fucking King Tut’s tomb of the skate world, and it’s so legit. People are STILL TRYING to cop this film style in skate videos, and all of the shit these kids are wearing has become iconic, but the film itself takes place before all that, and is so simple and unassuming because of it. I don’t want to sound like a sentimental fag or anything (to borrow a lovely turn of phrase), but it’s really beautiful.

Raise Up Your Safety

Daredevil acts while snowboarding offer their fare share of thrills, however one can never be too cautions and thus accidents occur! In such an event every bit of survival skills need to be harnessed. With this situation in mind, the designers have conceptualized a snowboard/post with an OLED Safety Light embedded into the surface. The light is easily activated by sticking it in the snow and is incorporated in such a way (?) that it doesn’t cause any hindrance during snowboarding or run the risk of breaking.

Raise Up Your Safety is an IDEA 2011 entry.

So my question is the obvious one: does this Led glows when you tail grab aswell?

A few years back Aaron was staying at my house in Tahoe and he was hounding me about going with him to Alaska. As far as I could tell, he had no plan, nowhere to stay, a run down 86' Blazer, and probably little to no money. Though the idea of going to Alaska was very tempting, I couldn't see myself just bailing out of town like that. Aaron left and I didn't hear from him for a while. I wasn't sure if he made it, or where he was. The next thing you know, I started seeing these vids on the internet of him shredding lines and having the time of his life up in AK. From that point on I knew that when Aaron had a plan he was going through with it, no matter what obstacles stood in his way. That's why when he approached me about making a movie with Jason and him, I knew right away that I was on board, and that I was in for quite an adventure. It's been one hell of a winter!

Με λύπη ανακοινώνουμε πως φέτος το φεστιβάλ δεν θα πραγματοποιηθεί στη Κοζάνη λόγο αδυναμίας του δήμου. Το Σάββατο 27 Αυγούστου στα Ιωάννινα, στις 5 το απόγευμα, στο ‘JOYRIDE’ skatepark στην οδό 8ης Μεραρχίας 24 στην Λιμνοπούλα, στον χώρο του Ε.Α.Ν.Κ.Ι. θα αρχίσει το best trick skate contest. Οι διαγωνιζόμενοι θα χωριστούν σε δυο ομάδες των ηλικιών 16+ και 16-. Την Κυριακή το απόγευμα θα πραγματοποιηθεί GAME OF SKATE. Εκτός από τα έπαθλα των νικητών πολλά δώρα θα μοιραστούν και στους θεατές.
